This dress is adorable and fits true to size but is really short. I'm 5'1 and can barely get away with it at work. The hem is also not finished which I think is ridiculous for a dress this price. I'd get it hemmed myself, but there's nothing to work with given the length! Purchased this full price and wish I would have waited for it to go on sale.
I really wanted this dress to work because it is beautiful, but it just doesn't. The material that wraps around the hips just cuts in all of the wrong places making me look lumpy, and it is really short (and I am 5'1!). The sleeves are a bit too long (again, I'm 5'1 so have shorter arms) as is the torso. It's a bit snug in the hips (a size up would have been swimming on me on top; the size 2 was a bit big in the waist and up as it is) so it kept riding up when I walked in it. I think this dress will work for girls with tiny hips, who are okay with a shooter style.
This dress is really cute but it runs small. The size 2 in this dress was tiny in the hips, and while I could squeeze into it and look cute standind still, I could not walk two steps without it riding up and bunching (note also that I am quite busty - 30E - and from the waist up it fit perfectly). Based on my last few Alice + Olivia purchases I am starting to fel that these desses are not made for girls with curves. if you don't have hips these. dresses are for you (though they may be too big in the top...).
